There MUST be a way to force a firmware install. Maybe the firmware file was corrupted, I don't know. So I connected the device to my brother's desktop, again no success. I've done a CLEAN install of the previous (6.0.7) driver on a fresh formatted system. I've changed my usb cable with a brand new one, plugged in a different port. Also, if you have another computer you can connect it to, it might be a good idea to test it to make sure it is a FTP problem and not PC. You might want to try a different USB cable, and port on the computer - for argument sake. I don't think there is a way to downgrade the firmware, but you can use an older driver: Motherboard: ASUS p5kse (integrated audio card disabled in the bios)
